_**There is no spiced dish to walk.** I toured every course on five canary fixtures and not one dish offers a spice level — the spiced dish exists only inside the canary's own run. So steps 1, 2 and 4 are unproven and I grade none of them. What I CAN drive is step 3's rule — 're-open via the tile is a fresh add' — which is about the sheet, not about spice._

### 01 · PATRON

**I expected:** I sit down, open the salad and put two of them in my order

**I saw:** Sheet read 2; my order is one line, $17.98 — two salads.

### 02 · PATRON

**I expected:** DOOR A — I go back to the menu and tap the tile. A fresh add should offer me one salad, not the two I already have

**I saw:** The sheet opens at 1 offering "Add to order ($8.99)". (The tile behind it carries its own stepper reading 2.)

> **Door A:** started at 2 salads. Tile reopened at **1** offering **"Add to order ($8.99)"**. Pressed it unchanged. Order is now **3 salads / $26.97** across 1 line(s).

### 03 · PATRON

**I expected:** DOOR A — I change nothing and press it, and read what my order became

**I saw:** 1 line(s), $26.97 — 3 salads.

### 04 · PATRON

**I expected:** DOOR B — now I go in through my order first (the edit door), come back out, and tap the tile again

**I saw:** Through my order the sheet showed 3; back out and in through the tile it now shows 3 offering "Add to order ($26.97)".

> **The comparison:** the SAME control, reached the SAME way (tap the tile, press Add, change nothing), added **1** salad(s) the first time and **3** the second. The only difference between the two was that in between I opened the dish once from my order.

### 05 · PATRON

**I expected:** DOOR B — I change nothing and press it. The same door should behave the same way it did a minute ago

**I saw:** STOPPED — the tile added 1 salad(s) the first time and 3 the second. Going in through my order once changed what the tile's Add button does — it came up pre-filled with the 3 I already had and added that many again. My order went 

> **Cleanup:** emptied my unplaced order; table 9947 left with nothing in it

**Why it ended here:** the tile added 1 salad(s) the first time and 3 the second. Going in through my order once changed what the tile's Add button does — it came up pre-filled with the 3 I already had and added that many again. My order went $26.97 -> $53.94 on one press of a button labelled "Add to order ($26.97)".
